Last night news broke of Celtic’s interest in Bayern Munich’s teenage starlet Christopher Scott.
It was a move that came out of left field and was a welcome relief from the usual noise of Celtic losing their top talent to European clubs.
A major account on social networks, Bavaria and Germanyalso tweeted the story to her 200,000 followers and she was met with wide positivity from her followers.
Scott is out of contract this summer and appears to have held talks with club Parkhead and England side Brentford.
Valued at £1million [Transfermarkt] he was in sparkling form for Bayern’s reserve side scoring six goals in thirteen appearances for the club.
Reports say the Bundesliga giants are keen to keep the 19-year-old, but his ambitions of playing first-team football appear to be higher on their list of priorities than simply staying at one of the top clubs. Europeans to earn a salary.
Scott had a serious knee injury last season that kept him out of action for almost two months, but he’s been healthy ever since.
By all accounts, it looks like the youngster is highly rated at Bayern and it looks like Celtic will definitely get a very good player if he does well.
