Interviewed on Friday afternoonbefore the Champions League fixture list was released early yesterday morning if he was confident of picking up a few points and getting out of the group, Ange Postecoglou delivered another classic liner to open his response.
“We haven’t played a game yet, mate,” the Celtic manager replied.
Ange continued, “Once we get started, we’ll tackle this as we go along. We’ll cover each device as we go.
“We have three important games before that. We want to go into these games in good shape and feel good about ourselves. Once we finish our next three games, hopefully in top form, we’ll see who’s first and we’ll tackle that.
“To start looking past that, it’s not something you can do in this competition. You have to focus on your next opponent or you won’t get past them.
The first match is Real Madrid one week on Tuesday at Celtic Park in what promises to be one of the most incredible atmospheres ever created in this place we call paradise. Any Celtic fans present at the game will be fully prepared to do their part to propel the team to a famous victory, just like the last time Real Madrid came to call what was then the European Cup.
