Judson ISD is investigating an Instagram account that allegedly posted photos of students “becoming #2” in school restrooms without their permission or consent, according to San Antonio media.
District officials say it Express-News they do not know if members of the Judson High School community manage the accounts and if the photos are of their students.
the Running could not reach Judson ISD officials on Monday for comment.
However, in a statement shared with News4SA, district officials said those responsible for sharing the videos would be punished. Additionally, Judson High has increased staff patrols near school washrooms.
Even so, Alexis Solomon, a parent whose children are enrolled at Judson High, saw the @jhs.poopers Instagram account and said she was frustrated with the school’s response.
“Who wants their kid posted on social media pooping?” she told the TV station. “It’s a violation of privacy.”
Social media accounts featuring students taking dumps are not unique to Judson ISD and have been reported elsewhere. Videos of students stealing soap dispensers, sinks and toilets from school bathrooms have also made headlines recently, as have TikTok clips of students slapping their teachers.
Solomon told News4SA she was concerned about the potentially violent or tragic results of the bathroom clips.
“They might want to fight back and fight back,” Solomon said. “They couldn’t be strong enough to handle it and be suicidal.”
