Sydney-based outdoor advertising and media company oOh!media has appointed CTO Labs as a strategic technology partner for the next three years.
With a network of over 37,000 digital and static asset locations at roadsides, shopping malls, airports, train stations, bus stops, office towers, cafes and universities, oOh!media is one of Australia’s largest players in the outdoor advertising industry. The ASX-listed company (800 employees) generates revenues of over $600 million.
With technology becoming increasingly central to oOh!media’s products and formats, the Sydney-based group is investing heavily in technology, aiming to improve the technology-driven experiences it delivers to customers (and their target audiences) and to increase the efficiency of its internal operations. .
“The digitization of outdoor advertising is exciting and challenging. Audience measurement and verification, data, programmatic and dynamic content are evolving rapidly; our ability to deliver greater volume of change, at the pace of quality via an enterprise-wide agile technology capability is critical to leading the digital future in the outdoors,” explained Mat Yelavich, director of technology and information at oOh!media.
CTO Labs, which was selected following a competitive bidding process that attracted several well-known names in the consulting industry, is helping the company advance its digital agenda.
Yelavich: “With their deep technical knowledge in developing cutting-edge software and a highly experienced delivery team able to quickly integrate their team into ours, CTO Labs has clearly established itself as our preferred technology partner. “
Based in Sydney and Melbourne, CTO Labs is a management consulting firm specializing in technology. The firm advises clients on two key pillars: mergers and acquisitions (with an emphasis on technology due diligence and value creation) and technology services (such as product development and transformation).
“We are thrilled to partner with oOh!media, a company we admire for its ability to disrupt the industry through technology,” said Wayne Te Paa, CEO of CTO Labs. “Technology is an important enabler of Ooh!media’s mission (‘making brands compelling’) and CTO Labs brings the expertise to help them achieve their goals.”
The CTO Labs team leading the project includes Wayne Te Paa, Mike Mengell, Kelly Benson, Greg Skinner and Rose Elhage, and will scale up/down based on the scope of work.
“I strongly believe in the impact the right culture can have on bottom line, and we have felt great alignment of values with CTO Labs. We are thrilled to have CTO Labs in our corner and excited about the future,” Yelavich concluded.
