Nashville (TN Tribune) — Nashville-based One Media/Marketing Group (OMG) has signed a production deal with one of the world’s fastest-growing independent content creation companies, Propagate, to develop projects unscripted and scripted specifics for film, television and podcasts.
Ben Silverman, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning media entrepreneur, and Howard T. Owens, director of innovative entertainment, are the co-CEOs of the Los Angeles-based studio.
OMG is an entertainment-focused media, marketing, brand and development banner designed to elevate brands interested in creating connectivity and cultural relevance.
“We are focused on telling compelling stories through a new lens. We are building a bridge to connect untapped talent with industry leaders in Hollywood,” said Derrick Phillips, President of OMG.
Phillips and One Media/Marketing Group co-founders LA Dodgers All-Star Mookie Betts, Cam Lewis and Jeff Mason have teamed up with producers across multiple genres, including reality, *drama and comedy, for projects to be developed in 2022 and are thrilled to be working with Propager.
Known as a multi-talented fan favorite, Betts said, “I’m thrilled at the opportunity to partner with Propagate to not only create fresh and uplifting content, but also to provide opportunities for other creatives in grass.”
The four Nashville natives — who met while working out at local gym The Training Corner — formed One Media/Marketing Group in 2020, just before the COVID pandemic hit. “We saw this as an opportunity to leverage Mookie’s star power and industry connections to open the door to people who didn’t traditionally have access to it,” says Phillips. “We had a vision and came up with a plan. We strive to live our dreams while impacting the culture. Mason added, “I see no reason why OMG shouldn’t be a billion dollar company. We had talent and motivation, now we have an opportunity.
One Media/Marketing Group also has major network deals for several ongoing projects that they look forward to announcing in the near future, including a collaboration with the trio (Clint Gray, EJ Reed and Derrick Moore) behind the one of Nashville’s fastest-growing brands, Slim and Husky’s on an epic docuseries.
