The Pakistani Embassy’s social media account was hacked on Wednesday, according to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.
Pakistan’s foreign affairs officer issued a clarification in a tweet after a series of tweets were posted from the embassy account. He clarified that the tweets posted were not from the Pakistan Embassy account.
The statement came after a disturbing tweet emerged that said all missions in the country would be “ordered to divert funds to Ukraine to evacuate Pakistani nationals”.
The tweet further added that no Pakistani nationals had been evacuated from war-torn Ukraine and that the embassy had no funds to pay its employees.
Said post asked if the embassy should turn to India for help as Pakistani nationals were “using the Indian flag to flee”.
This is another fake pass reported in recent months regarding misleading tweets from official Pakistan Embassy accounts.
The Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts of the Pakistani Embassy in Algeria have been hacked.
All messages posted through these accounts are not from the Pakistani Embassy in Algeria.

Hacking, and more hacking!
Last December, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry claimed that the official account of the Pakistani Embassy in Serbia had been hacked. A tweet criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan for rising inflation and rising prices had appeared on the official account of the Serbian Embassy.
The tweet read: “With inflation breaking all previous records, how long do you @ImranKhanPTI expect us government officials to remain silent and continue working for you without being paid for the past 3 months.”

“Our children were forced out of school due to non-payment of fees. Is this #NayaPakistan?” read the tweet. The Embassy handle further tweeted, “I’m sorry @ImranKhanPTI, I have no other option.”
The embassy had shared an anti-Imran Khan song criticizing him for inflation and soaring commodity prices. The song was titled “Ghabrana Nahi Hai”.
The tweet ensured chaos among citizens and government dignitaries. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s shameful and embarrassing tweet immediately went viral on social media.
