Johnny Depp hjoined TikTok and gained 3.5 million followers on Tuesday morning – without posting a single message.
On Monday, fans started flocking to the new social media account after noticing Depp created it. The actor called himself the “Casual Thespian” in the biography description.
TikTok users have welcomed Depp to the platform, sharing how they are looking forward to his first post.

Depp created the account after the conclusion of his defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard last week. The actor was awarded $15 million in damages after the jury found Heard defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post editorial in which she describes herself as a victim of domestic violence.
During the trial, Depp fans took to social media offering overwhelming support for the actor. The #JusticeForJohnnyDepp hashtag reportedly received around 33 billion views on TikTok, while #JusticeForAmberHeard reportedly received around 86 million.

In addition to awarding Depp compensatory and punitive damages, the jury also found that Depp defamed Heard regarding a statement made by his former attorney, Adam Waldman.
Heard was later awarded $2 million in damages. However, the jury did not find the other two statements presented by the actress’s suit to be defamatory.
Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, said the actress plans to appeal.
