Jay Z Immediately Deletes Social Media Account, Fans Speculate Hilarious Reason He Quit Instagram

Rapper Jay Z is causing another social media frenzy when he decides to delete his Instagram account days after creating it and become Beyonce’s only followed account.

CBS News reported that Shawn Carter, better known by his stage name Jay Z, just joined the photo and video sharing platform on Nov. 2 and had more than 1.7 million Instagram followers the next day.

One of the millions of followers the artist gained was none other than his wife of thirteen years which further broke the internet as they became the only people they followed on their accounts.

However, it didn’t stop there as everyone started wondering why the “Empire State of Mind” rapper’s account suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth, not even a week after it was created. The outlet mentioned that Carter managed to download a single post before deactivating it.

The image turned out to be a promotional movie poster for “The Harder They Fall,” which he collaborated with Netflix and helped produce. The musician’s only Instagram Story also featured a countdown to the film’s premiere on the streaming platform.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Beyonce was apparently thrilled with her husband’s sudden activity on social media and fully supported his project as she was also seen reposting the countdown on his IG story.

Netizens speculate why Jay Z deleted his account

Netizens started speculating about the various reasons why the rapper would immediately delete his account even after the support and attention he received from his fans.

One Twitter user said, “JAYZ turned on his Instagram for the sole purpose of promoting #TheHarderTheyFall. He fulfilled his contractual agreement and turned it off. Businessman.”

“Y’all are so embarrassed, TF were y’all asking Jay-Z to delete his IG after 1 day?!!!” another fan proclaimed as more and more rumors of people telling the artist to delete his account started spreading on other social media platforms.

“The fact that Jay-Z had his ig for only 24 hours and then deleted it makes me scream, this man was like…whatever,” another person tweeted.

While others found the situation amusing and posted memes about it “Jay Z after being on Instagram for two hours” and “Jayz had instagram for 1 day and said”.
